My version of Mayen's, honey bee cake! holy cow she makes it look so easy! I will say I am learning a ton but this is def alot of hard work to get here! I really love this work and hope there is a market for the art I am putting out there!

BFN Frosting Fairy

This was a cake for a great friend of mine and her husband. They were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary; what an accomplishment!

The cake was a red velvet delight with chocolate ganache. I really enjoyed doing this for my girlfriend and felt honoured that her family trusted me with this task.

So I have figured the picture thing out... Awesome!

These cuppies were alot of fun to make and my baby Ben certainly inspired me...

They were absolutely delicious... I named them Orange Crush...

I have done 4 orders now and have 2 more on the shelf... I am looking forward to what tomorrow may bring... and the Ben's birthday so I can do something beyond fabulous!

Post wedding bliss...

Wow, so I did it! I made my own cake... for me! And I survived! However, the room was mucho hot and the cake... well it almost didn't make it! Needless to say lesson learned!!! The cake was lovely and I am very pleased to say that as of right now it's still not stale! Clearly I am doing something right!!!!

I am having a bit of difficulty with the humidity here, some research suggesting adding meringue powder but I tried that with the buttercream last wk and it was a no go!

I still don't know how to add photos, will look this wk...

Day 2!

So I have had an awesome time seeing my friends and supporters signing up for my group on facebook! I hope it translates to orders!!! I am very excited to see this next couple of months and what they may bring... Really want to get into some of the kids cakes that I have seen on you tube, just need a reason to do it! Maybe I will make one!

I am very excited to see the cake for this weekend and can't wait to see the response after its delivered!

Hi!

I have officially opened my business "Frosting Fairy" after hearing for many years that I have missed my calling.

As a small child my family lived with my grams and she was the quintessential 50's woman. She sewed, she baked, heck she even made hats at one point! Hence my love of all things Martha Stewart... I grew up with Martha (the chubby one that really did smell like vanilla) so here I am 35, having a midlife crisis thinking I can conquer all including the great home business world, 1 cake at a time!

I have no idea how to post pictures on here (if you have any advice, thats great!)
